Pilates is a form of strength and flexibility training that can be done by someone at any level of fitness. With specialized equipment the Pilates exercises can be modified for the beginner to the more advanced.
B O D Y W O R K
Harness your breath
Bodywork sessions aim to reduce pain and tightness with guided breathing and muscle release techniques. These sessions will make you feel more relaxed and realigned so you can get back to doing the things you want to do.
T R A I N I N G
Build a better foundation
In training sessions we use dumbbells or resistance bands depending on your fitness level, to build strength and stability. Having a strong base gives you the ability to perform other movement exercises easier.
We focus on alignment, breathing, development of strong core, coordination and balance through Pilates and other functional movement challenges.

Tim Foster
The spark for Fostering Movement Studio began at Northern Illinois University, where I first began to study what would become a lifelong passion for me—understanding physical movement.
Jen Lande
Jennifer studied classical ballet from an early age and danced professionally in the Chicago dance community for ten years. Jennifer discovered pilates in 1998 when she was sidelined from dance due to an injury.
